Music and Dance Scholarships

The Board of Trustees of the SCMA voted to make a few changes to the Scholarship Program starting this year.

The application period for the 2012 scholarship will start on October 17, 2011 and ends on January 24, 2012.

The Scholarship Committee has been reviewing the wording of the applications for both the Dance Scholarship and the Byron D. Cameron Memorial Music Scholarship and have made a few changes to the application form and rules. The official rules and application form are posted on the SCMA website, and may be downloaded using the links below. All documents are in PDF format, and if needed a free copy of the Adobe PDF Reader may be downloaded by clicking this link .

The rules and application form should be downloaded and, when completed, submitted to the address shown on the application form and below. The application form may be filled in electronically using the pdf form or printed and hand written. There are no current plans for applying directly online but we are accepting applications by email to scholarship@scmatx.org

Remember: the two scholarships are each worth $500, and the application quest is a very extensive and competitive process. Strict age requirements do apply to each Scholarship and previous winners cannot apply in the same area for a period of three years. Start checking the web now and get your application in on time. We must have the application received at the designated address by January 24, 2011 in order for it to be considered.
