Deadlines
for the Printed Version of
 CÉILÍ
These deadlines apply for the next
issue of the CÉILÍ newsletter:
March – April, 2007 issue
General Deadline:
All material (Articles, Advertisements, Classifieds, etc.) must be to the
SCMA by Friday, July 20, 2007. If your
event is not reported to us, it can not be published.
We are always looking for Celtic related articles for the CEILI. There
are several methods for submitting material for the CÉILÍ:

You may use e-mail with or without attachments of one
of the standard Word Processors: i.e., MSWord, WordPerfect or text. Dawn’s
e-mail address is: erinmist2001@yahoo.com

You may also deliver your material on CD-ROM or floppy
disk or mail it in a proper disk mailer (for safety reasons) to Dawn’s
attention at the SCMA office. Dawn will pick it up at the SCMA office.

And of course, you may always use the proper print
media for your material. For photographs, high quality, black & white
or gray scale *.tif formatted are preferred. Please mail them directly
to Dawn at the SCMA office..

If you have photos that need to be scanned, please
contact Denne first at the email address above.
In general, the deadlines for all CÉILÍ
submissions fall on the third Friday of the ODD numbered months for the
NEXT ODD and EVEN numbered months.

Please remember that the
entire staff of the CÉILÍ is volunteers who also work “day
jobs.” Their commitment to the CÉILÍ is available only as
long as it doesn’t interfere with these “day jobs” or their other daily
lives.
Bi-Monthly Calendar: All
information must be to Denise Brown by Friday,
July 27, 2006. The Calendar will cover the approximate 75 day
period September 1, 2007 to November 15, 2007. You may e-mail (preferred
method) your calendar info to Denise at ardibee@sweeneyweb.com.
Please Note: If your Calendar Information
is not received in time for the print CEILI, don’t worry … it’ll still
go in the SCMA Web Calendar.
If the event takes place outside the SCMA area (Texas,
Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi or New Mexico), it may only
go on the Web Calendar due to print space limitations.
Info on the Web version of
the Calendar: The Calendar on the SCMA Website now contains everything
that has been sent to us. You may send info on any Celtic event, anywhere
in the USA, even as far out as 2 years or more, from now. Please try to
give us as much advance notice as possible.
Advertisements for the CÉILÍ
should be sent Print Ready to the SCMA address. Special arrangements
for different media may be made with Dawn. If no photos are involved, that
is, plain graphics and/or text, then *.gif format on computer media is
fine.

Dance Coverage: Susan Harrison is reporting Celtic Dancing for the CÉILÍ. The section
is called “On the Dance Floor”.
